BTS announces Love Yourself: Answer, conclusion to LY series

The final installment in the Love Yourself series is coming.

News about the upcoming album dropped at midnight on July 17th (KST) on the official BTS twitter account. Available for preorder on July 18th—a day from now—and dropping on August 24th, the fourth installment in the Love Yourself series, titled Love Yourself: Answer, will drop exactly 340 days after Love Yourself: Her did; the four-part story will be told in less than a year.

Love Yourself: Her and Love Yourself: Tear are renowned albums in Korea, selling more than two million combined copies on the Hanteo and Gaon charts. Love Yourself: Tear shot straight to number one on the Billboard 200.

The BTS World Tour: Love Yourself launches August 25th in Seoul, South Korea, a day after Love Yourself: Answer debuts to the listening world for the first time. Unlike usual BTS album releases, the new album won’t have comeback stages or promotions. BTS will perform the new songs on their very own world tour stage.

To celebrate the news, ARMYs played with the worldwide Twitter trending list in their usual fashion. #LOVE_YOURSELF_結_Answer and “JUST ANNOUNCED” both trended worldwide on the chart, the predecessor topping at number one and the latter at number eleven, as ARMYs reacted to the news. “G.C.F.” also trended as Jeon Jungkook, band member of BTS, released his Golden Closet Film of his trip to the United States.

Love Yourself: Answer is not a repackaging of Love Yourself: Tear and will not count towards Love Yourself: Tear’s numbers on the Hanteo and Gaon charts. Instead, Love Yourself: Answer is being described as a special album with seven new songs. Kim Seokjin, eldest member of the band and one of the band vocalists, is suspected to sing the introduction of the album, Intro: Epiphany. The album will generate a music video.
